Anyone know anything about these guns, theres on in the paper up her for $75. Do they still make them, or are they an older model?

If i remember correctly, the 944 was a single shot that had the breakdown lever on the side. They were made in the 70's i think.Long since discontinued.Nothing special,no collector interest, but they do the job. $75 is about what one in exc. condition would be worth.

They trade in for between $35 and $50. They're tagged at $79 retail, but you can do MUCH better.

I've got a Savage/Stevens 944E single shot .410. It's a great little shotgun. I may be a little biased. This particular shotgun was my first gun. Got it for Christmas when I was nine. None the less, I have never had a problem with it. It's a great shooter.
