I broke down and bought a new camera

When I moved I somehow lost the charger to my old camera's battery. And it was at least 4 years old, so after doing a bunch of looking around and trying to figure out what kind of camera I could use, I picked one out and went to the store and got it today. I'll try and take a few pics to post when I get this thing figured out.

Now I better get back to reading this giant manual it came with so that I can figure out how to take some pics of my guns!

    Hey... that looks very nice. =o)

    Surely would be looking forward to see what it does - expecially that Leica optics have raised my expectations.
    Got real cameraoptics myself - I use a Canon SLR with regular cameralenses for 35mm film - it's a Canon EOS D300 digital SLR and works great. =o) I expect that one to do just as good.

    Just got this one and I am having fun with it. Cool part is all my 35mm
    lenses, filters etc. work with it. I love the new digital/SLR format.
    It's got more functions than I will ever use( atleast for now.)

    Looks like a nice camera and a very fair price. I use the same Cannon as our polar bear friend "Happy Nanoq" but I may pick up one of the Panasonics for Mrs. K.

    I wish I had the valls to buy a new one. Money is not the issue. Just my cheapness.

    Are you gonna sell the old one? GB'ers will buy almost anything.

    Cool camera, good luck on the owner's manual. I read far enough to find the "automatic" setting, and put mine aside.
