A '5 point hydro'? Interesting. One would suggest the rear sponsons would keep the the back of the boat/prop up 'out of the water' (as opposed to a '3 point') and let the prop 'work it's magic' a bit quicker.

    GREAT photos!

Yeah...this is the only Top Fuel Hydro running dual props. I got a good shot of the gearbox in the pits. I'll post later.

This guy was out of shape right off the line. It's tough to tame 10,000 hp. [:)]

They were running in the 268 MPH for the weekend. Pretty durn fast! [:)]

Do they run these every year?
My Son lives in North Austin. I might have to plan a visit next year!
    Excellent pictures! Thanks

Yes sir. Marble Falls has hosted this event every August for 26 years now. If you do Facebook click over to Marble Falls Chamber of Commerce/Lakefest and press follow. They will send you a reminder a few weeks prior to the next event.

lol...you bet! Interesting this is the fish do not seem to be disturbed by all the noise from the boats. Catfish and bass are seen chasing brim and shad right at the shore during the whole event. If they'd let me I'd be fishing while watching the races! [:)]
