    A guy that lived a few blocks from me for years, married a Filipino woman that way.

    They seemed to be happy, and had 2 kids.
    She didn't look too bad either,.....at least at the time.
    I worked on their AC years ago when I was still going full bore, and did residential service.

    They moved a couple of years ago.
    Don't know whether she could take a punch or not though.[:0]

    I have met a few woman from Russia via business dealings. I entered into a discussion with one of them about the fact that during the trade show, I could clearly see that the 3 woman all Russian (ok one was Ukrainian). Were all like top shelf Vodka and the rest of the room seemed like warm beer. I told her that I noticed this quite frequently all across the US. She told me that I should remember that Russia is still in the 50's and like US woman of the 50's Russian woman try very much harder to look and act proper and polished. I still dont believe in mail order brides, but one could do much worse off the streets here unfortunately these days.

    i knew a guy with a mail order bride from Russia, she was one hot lady!!! as soon as her citizenship became final so did the divorce! it cost him little over $50,000.00 to bring her to the US and $250,000 when they divorced! i would suggest once every five years go out buy some gal a house and be done with it!! stay single!!

    When I worked in a local hospital, we had a frequent flyer that had a mail order bride. He had no kids, and wanted to have someone take care of him in his old age as he fought a loosign battle with Parkinsons.

    So when he first found out he was sick, he got a young Vietnamese wife. Deal with her was he'd cover expenses, get her family over to visit every so often, she'd get her citizenship, he'd have a care taker, and without kids, she'd get his entire estate/benefits/etc

    I think they had a great deal... don't think I could do it, but in his shoes, it almost makes sense - he had the $$, just wanted to not have The System care for him in his last years...

    My neighbor has gone through about a dozen in the last ten years. Never go to know their names, but there were some classic showdowns on his front lawn over the years! My wife used to get pissed at me and my son because we'd drag lawn chairs out in our yard for the show.

    My Russian wife was not a "mail order bride". She is an absolutely wonderful woman. I thank the Lord everyday, (well, almost everyday) for the wonderful 11 years we have had togeather. Having said that, most men who go the Russian bride route, regret it. One of the major differences between my wife and the average Russian woman are my wifes deep religous beliefs. Those anti Christian types on GB can say what you want. A good Christian woman is a great wife. My wife is cover girl beautiful, 26 years younger than me, a wonderful Mother and a fantastic cook. Our house is so clean it is almost scarey. She started her own cleaning business just so she could make her own hours and always be at every school function for our children. She also rolls over in the middle of the night and whispers "I love you". I know how blessed I am, but every other Russian woman I know is a walking disaster. Those of you thinking about a foreign bride.......BEWARE! My experience seems to be unique.
