Well, there's several ways actually. Depends on what you're doing.

One way is to log off the Internet, shut down the computer, and re-start. If your ISP is using DHCP you will be assigned a different IP address.

Another way is to use a proxy server.

Another way is to request a different IP from your ISP if you're using a static IP address.

Another way is to run WinIPcfg and dump the existing IP for a new one (again if using DHCP).

Another way, if you're trying to do it via email is to "spoof" the IP in the email header.

Another way is to use a networking technique called NAT (Network Address Translation)

All depends on what you're trying to do. Hmmmm...what ARE you trying to do anyway? [:p]

A more important question might be...

What have YOU been up to ??!!?? [:D]

DHCP addresses are "leased" - and associated with a hard-coded hardware address on your modem/network card. If the lease expires (a few minutes/hours/days, its configurable) then you may get a new address - but your OS will always ask if the one it had before is available.

Not sure about on windows, but on a Real OS (Linux) it is very easy to change your MAC address (that hardware address) and get a new IP, etc.

    Here is the story.

There is a Maine man who has decided that God called upon him to quit his job and build a ship. This ship would carry disabled kids and adults in sailing trips.

    Sounds fine right.

Well he doesnt know his bow from the stern. Based his ship on a poor Spanish Galleon design. Would not take any input from designers in the area. Only asks for more money, says your not a good christian if you dont give him more.

He left port once and got into 6 foot seas, lost electronics, rudder and his towed behind outboard. Ship was towed to port. Two years later he goes out again, this time hit maybe 8-9 foot seas and all three masts broke, just like people told him they would.

He has a website with a forum. But any negative posts and posters are deleted. I think that people from away that want to give him money should know the truth about him.

Such as his "wheelchair accesible" is that they load the wheelchair laden peron into an outboard, then tie the person to the wheelchair and hoist them and chair with a crane 10-12 feet up the side of the boat with a hand cranked crane. NOT VERY SAFE or accesible.

He is an accident waiting to happen.

I just wanted to be able to repost after i was blocked.
