Homeland security or abuse of authority??

Bought some mags on GB. Check cleared 4/19 or so, written on 4/16. Around 5/10 I emailed the seller asking about tracking. He responds with the appropriate tracking no. Checked w/ USPS.com and the box was delivered to the PO 4/22. Not one notice in my mailbox telling me that a package was being held for me.

Get to the PO this AM and, yes, they have the package. Get it out to the counter and it has obviously been opened (rifled through). All 10 mags are there and the UPC barcode has been obliterated and a note on the box says that a notice was left on 4/19, three days before the website says it reached my local PO. A couple of the ziplock bags were slit open which gives me pause to wonder if government employees lack the intellect to comprehend the technology of the 20 year old ziplock bag.

The PO only keeps such parcels two weeks as a rule, allowing a week for pick up after each of two notices in your mailbox (neither of which I received) which makes me wonder if this is an attempt at fraud by a postal employee or simply classic bureaucratic indifference?

Somebody at the PO was trying to steal your stuff.

    Proving it is impossible.

    Glad you got your mags.

Better use USP for a while to break the scent (sent) trail. [:)]

Are you in a state that restricts mag capacity? If so, that could be the reason your package was opened. Otherwise you don't have much beef except with a slow shipper perhaps. Sounds like he held your package too long before mailing.

Sad to think that the loser who walks a mail route has absolute power and you have none, isn't it?

When did he mail it? You leave out that piece if info. Looks like he sat on your order for 3 weeks. No I don't deliver mail. Sorry, I don't see what you are complaining about other than that. If this trouble is the extent of your life's worries, then I would let it go.

Did you ask the postal clerk what the deal is?

Do you believe that a postal clerk will tell you anything beyond when she punches out and takes her breaks? I did ask how the mailman could have left a notice three days before the box arrived at the PO.

    Amazingly, she had no answer.

I would make another trip to the Post Office and have a conversation with the local Post Master. That may not get you any answers, but not asking wont get you any answers for sure.

Here we are painting the "invisible man" and you guys let him run away...

    btt; And shame on you...

    To fuel the "debate":

Homeland security is spending BIG money on FREAKING ADVERTISING!!! AND WE HAVE NO BORDER CONTROL WHATSOEVER!!!!!!!!!!!! WE CAN DO AND WILL CONTROL YOUR CHECK BEFORE YOU EVER SEE IT!!! But we can't control our FRICKING BORDERS?!

May God strike you people dead, AMEN!... No man on this earth has reason nor need to be a "terrorist" For God knows his enemy's! You know them as well and nodoubt about you have had your feelings towards another individual altered over the happenings in our country...

God is the alpha and omega the in between is just that.

Post Offices around America leached Homeland Defense funds to get their own X-ray machines. I'm sure that is how they first identified it was firearm parts and thus makes USPS employees susceptible to stealing people's mail.

    They know what's inside.

Why they were stupid enough to open it and cut the ziplocks open...maybe somebody wanted to see if they would fit their toy.
