Now why on EARTH would the govt. buy a brand new F-350 4x4 and sell it?

2226740.jpg

$50 minimum bid.

http://cgi.govliquidation.com/auction/view?id=863520&convertTo=USD

(I know why...they contracted out all their maintenance at the Navy base and the contracted mechanics have been keeping the keys to vehicles so people can't look under the hoods of the trucks. Then nobody will bid much because they can't open the truck..thus they don't bid much. The contractor mechanics then bid a grand or two and get running vehicles.)

But this is just silly. Heck it's still under Warranty!

well it IS in Guam...... That kinda knocks some of the bidding down.

I dont know anything about fords but I thought that a V8 Triton was 8 cylinders(considering that the truck is a F350)

Kind of makes one wonder: if there are enough inaccuracies in the listing, it may keep people from bidding. Then someone's buddy gets a heck of a deal.

Perhaps they don't want a Triton V6 in an F-350.

What do they need that for? Hauling feathers?

The contractors at govliquidation.com that list the stuff for the govt. don't know squat about vehicles....or pretty much anything. I doubt they even have high school diplomas...the majority of the island doesn't have diplomas.

I think I know why this may be for sale. The Marines just left not too long ago after an exercise. They have a habit of drinking a little and vehicles end up in the water at the beach.[:p]

15,000 brown Treesnakes per square mile. Stowing away on cargo ships in WWII, they invaded and, with no predator competition, they proceeded to eleminate entire species of vertebrates and screw up everything about Guam over the succeeding years.

I don't think I'll bid on it. On a good day it would get 14mpg here.

I'd have to pay over $6 for gas just to drive from the Air Force base to the Navy base.

My 14 year old Chevy Silverado will do it for half that and it's got a bigger cab.
