What brands are good or bad. Any other opinions of these?
Looking for a case to screw to the side of the bed to put a handgun in. Prefer fingerprint entry.

We too asked here before we bought. A couple points we learned about the bio vault is:
Delay
Recognizes over 1000 prints (one of which may be yopur child)
will not read your print should you have a cut,a band aid, just used a solvent that temporarily removed your prints, wrinkley fingers from soaking in hot bath/tub,after swimming
we chose the speed vault with key pad,has performed as we hoped.
Owner manual states, must be mounted at 90 degrees as door is gravity activated.

The fingerprint ID on my phone works about 95% of the time.
That 5% that may keep me from a handgun when I need it could be a problem.

DON'T do it. I'm getting ready to throw mine in the dumpster.
It's got the finger tip combinaton thing rather than a fingerprint thing. Works every time, long as you touch the right combination!
Mine's bolted to the top of the big safe.
