OOPS! I messed up on the photo transfer. Here is my latest 10/22 project. All done except I still need to get optics for it. 18" E.R. Shaw Fluted Bull Barrel, Tapco T6 stock that originally set up for the factory taper barrel, but I did a conversion for the Bull Barrel. Then I put a new finish on the stock with only 2 colors O.D. Green & Khaki. 4 base coates of O.D. Green then 3 coats of Khaki in 3 areas, then I applied the Blue spruce branch's on it and finished with 3 coats of Dura-Coat clear.
I redid the trigger pull to a 2.5 pound pull and added a picatinny scope rail.

I have been toying with buying a 10-22 and modifying it, Problem is I do not know which direction to go. Part of me wants to go light tactical (bull barrel and over mold stock) while the other half of me wants to go for the insane fungun/tacticool (krinker Plinker)
Which way should i go? I got around 425.00 in birthday money to burn
But if sticking with a 10/22, Id like to do a tacticoool sniper setup with a silencer.
Tacticool
Light Tactical
It's more fun to hit the target every time than look groovy.[;)]
I am Kinda partial to the Krinker Plinker. If you replaced the barrel and trigger, it would probably have pretty good accuracy!
get a dedicated one instead of the conversion
I am looking a for a cheap to shoot project. set on the 10/22 as a base gun . . . trying to decide on the direction to go. I love the Target tactical model, but there are some pretty cool tacticool conversions.
I have even found a couple Guys that make CNC machined aluminum Bullpup chassis

The Dixie LP4 is nice looking to

I think you guys missed the point of it

It would be much cheaper to buy a 22lr dedicated upper for your m4. Buying a 10/22 and then buying the stuff to customize it will probably be very rewarding, and a ton of fun, but alot more money than a 22 conversion for a firearm you already know you love to shoot.
That said, I love my 10/22 with tapco intrafuse stock, and I'm in the mist of building up a bull barrel takdriver 10/22.

I like the idea of a .22 upper myself, for $350 plus S&H
or a bull barrel 10/22 like the one you pictured, that's cool.
That looks like my Sommer Und Ockenfuss but smaller and semi auto.
Edit: And since the post has apparently been deleted, I guess it will be our little secret.
Yes I have one, I know.

Stay away from this one, unless it is very cheap, because it is, Not worth $100.

What's the problem with that one? Uncomfortable, cheap/weak materials, impede feeding, or what?
while i love the "tacticool" concept I wnt with accuracy over looks
added a Blackhawk Bi-pod, a BSA sweeet 22 3-9x40 scope, Kidd auto bolt release and a Kidd extended mag release. Looking for a stock that fits my needs and won't break the bank. The Trex stock by Primary Weapon Systems is high on my list.
