I found about 20 tracking programs on my computor with this freeware.
none from here though.
I go online to one site only and then check, interesting to see who wants your surfing habits.

I am not sure if any spyware programs actually work. I have Spybot, and Adaware. I run them and usually come up with about 20 or so spyware items on my computer. I remove them using the removal tool... go to the internet for a few minutes, and they ALL come back, and then some. I am not convinced that the removal tool in either of these programs actually remove the spyware, even though I get the "spyware has been removed from your system" message after hitting the removal tool. I don't go to many internet sites... usually Yahoo, or Nasdaq, here, and a few other sites that aren't the type of sites you would expect to find spyware. Anyone else have the same problems with Spybot or Adaware?

I use Kaspersky. auto updates everytime you log online, has killed spyware, viruses, malware, and scans every download. it's cheaper than most others and is the best thing i have ever seen in that arena.

Spybot to clean them out. And then a program called spyblaster. Spyblaster will keep you from getting reinfected . both are freeware. so it won't cost you a penny

I thought "Spayblaster" was to keep your dog from having puppies. [:D]

Use Ad-Aware to get rid of most of that junk, and run spybot as well. Spybot has built in protections they call" immunizing" to block unfriendly programs. I have both, and AVG to boot.

a nasty spyware hit my computer today--it would not let me put a restore point, go to microsoft or any other website except to the antivirus one it kept trying to send me to to buy their crap-kept getting popups that my computer was infected--but it was not a popup from McAfee. Had to hit F8 on startup to go into safe mode and was able to run a restore point. I then got that AVG at filehippo.com and it has found a bunch of stuff that my other cleaners didn't-mainly tracking cookies.

housecall.trendmicro.com to get rid of it, bitdefender to keep it away.
