My dream car now is that new Ford F450 4 door 4x4 Super Duty that I have seen driving around town[:D]
Oh ya... almost forgot my second car was also a pickup truck. Cant forget that old 49 Chevy five window. I had a 6 way adjustable electric seat that I took out of an old thunderbird in it. That sure was a crazy old truck.[;)]

My first car was a 1965 Ford Falcon and it was a piece of junk! My dream car now a days is whatever one I'm driving. Currently this is a BMW 540i 6-speed with a big gas guzzeling all aluminum V-8. Here it is parked just outside the frontier crossing between Switzerland and Lichtenstien. Notice the complete lack of border controls, you just drive right on in!

My first car is my 1994 Chevy Caprice 5.7 Liter V8 LT1. Ex-Washington state Sheriff's. Never had so much fun touch the gas and I'm doing 80. I was a Nissan Pickup kingcab man before the car (had two '83 and '91 all 4 bangers) still miss being able to put crap and go. Now I have to plan or have things cut to fit in my car or depend on my friend who has a truck. But the V8 is just fine.

Dream car would be to do a resto on my car.

My very first was a 1950 Chevy slope back $100.00 bucks had to borrow $70 from Mom to buy it and couldn't get the license till I paid her back. Earning only $32.50 per week that took a while.
My dream car is a the 47 Harley '74' knuckle head I foolishly got rid of. It had Isky 3/4 cams and for a big hawg it was a mover. 95MPH in 3rd. gear and in fourth it went off the clock. Lucky to be alive today !!

First car was a truck. A 1972 3/4 ton K20 which I still own. My dream car was a Pantera which I bought in 1975. Here is a picture of the 1973 DeTomaso:

I just sold it a couple of weeks ago after having it setting on blocks for the last 20 years. Twenty years- add gas and a battery and away it went.

My first car was a 1965 Ford Pickup with a 352 wide block. The steering was so loose you could turn the wheel nearly half way around before it would start to meander in that direction.

My present passion are Mercedes vehicles. These are two of my toys:

The guy next door to me had a white one on blocks for a year when I was 18. He got the engine back in and we went for ride. That mid engine got hot as hell in there. I have to say it drove like a dream even with Biasply tires. I think he said he bought it for $6000.00 in 1980. The engine was blown so he rebuilt it.

Steve45, I've got a relative that has a Boss that's been sitting on blocks for over 20 years.

When I get back there I'm going to try and get it dirt cheap.

It needs every piece of rubber replaced, motor is likely seized, needs extensive rust repair but I think I can turn a hefty profit on that car.

First car: 83 Volkswagen Rabbit. 197k miles when I got it. Originally grey, but was missing most of the paint. Had a hole in the gas tank, so you couldn't fill it up further than half-way, and maxed out at 70 mph on the highway.

    82-4-door-p-side-1.jpg

Dream car:2005 Subaru WRX Impreza STi. 6-speed manual short-throw, 2.5-liter turbocharged 300-HP engine, with driver-controlled manual intercooler water spray, turbo boost and intercooler temp sport guages, iridium plugs, and Driver-Controlled Center Differential full-time all-wheel drive.

Does the 0-60 faster than the Porsche Carrera Turbo 911, the Ferrari Modena, and the Maserati Spyder GT, with triple the braking and handling. It does all this STOCK, I might add.

Give me a week and an unlimited budget, and on top of all that I'll put on an APS blow-off valve, GReddy 300 ZX chrome-lined stainless-steel catback exhaust with low-flow cat and crossflow muffler, dual front and back strut tower bars, ICEMan cold-air intake, 10-lb. NOS Power-Fogger Wet Nitrous kit, and an a Apexi turbo-timer.

Oh, and a trip to Earl Scheib's to get a canary yellow paintjob.

My first vehicle was a 73 3/4ton chevy, that eventually ended up with a decent 350 engine, 400 turbo tranny that would bark tires and break drive shafts like it was going out of style, 38" super swampers, 4" suspension lift, 2" body lift, a decent radio and speakers that jammed country music.

My dream car would probably be a 67 camero from the show room floor.

Shortly after I bought the Pantera I rebuilt the motor to produce +400 hp at the wheels. I dynoed it and it did peg the dyno at 400 hp.

To bad they don't make Chevron Custom Supreme anymore. It ran best on a half and half mixture of aviation gas and Chevron Custom Supreme.
Near my house was an air field where you could just drive up to the gas pumps and buy aviation gas.

    Those days are long gone.

I can say that the new technology is getting some impressive HP and handling in some of the Harbor Bomber cars ,but I don't like the styling. They all look alike to me. Of course the young crowd can't tell the difference between a 60 Chrysler and a 60 Cadillac. I had a gal at the local Kragen auto parts store ask me "who made that" when I needed Pinto parts. Figured everybody knew who made a Pinto.
