I did the same thing once, on my 1982 BMW 1000, sorta.

Been playing volleyball all afternoon and drinking beer.

I left the party, got 2 blocks, realized I was in a 20 mph curve, was doing 40, left the road and went into a ditch, 3 feet wide and 2 feet deep. Travelled 20 feet down the ditch, hit the concrete culvert, and the bike stopped cold. BMW was Kaput.
I did a flip, did a 270 and landed on my back on the driveway. Was wearing gym shorts and a t shirt. In accordance with Georgia law, did have a helmet on.
So I was laid out flat on my back, got up, not a scratch on me. Go figure.

I recommend that a person who has been drinking beer not drive a motorcycle.

I did that once, but there was a brick wall facing me after I did the flip. Was not such a happy ending.

Yes, Lefty. When I did my flip off the BMW, there could have been a pickup truck sitting there in the driveway. There I was, flying through the air at 25 mph, upside down and backwards, smash into the Ford F150, that wouldn't have worked out so well for me.
