How come any topic in that forum that reaches 10 posts gets locked?

    Because CaptainKirk, the moderator in the Experts Forum, says that, GENERALLY, the question has been sufficiently answered by the time 10 posts have been made. Statistically, he's right---from what I've observed. He will, occasionally, let things go further if he feels useful discussion is being carried on, especially if there are two or more schools of dichotomous thought on the subject at hand.

    Most questions asked in the expert forum should be able to be answered within ten posts at which point they are locked to keep things moving along. Anything that requires more than ten post is considered to be general discussion. At least thats the way I understand the format.
