I want to thank all of you that replied to the post of my Grandfather's (Pap) illness and death with prayers, good wishes, and condolences. You did the same 2 months ago when Mamaw died and again I want to thank you. I carried Pap to his resting place beside Mamaw today with the peace of mind knowing his suffering is over. As one of my uncles stated at the funeral today, the reason he chose Christmas Day to die is because he and mamaw have never been apart on that day in 65 years. They will never be apart on that day. I reckon I took this a bit hard because as my uncle stated, I am more like my grandfather than any of the rest of the family.

I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and will have a happy New Year. For those that go out partying on Dec.31, be careful. I have a party in my home every Dec. 31, a birthday party for my daughter who turns 17 this year. Take care and again thank all of you for just being here.
