Not that I'll be able to afford one in the near future, but i saw one at a gun store today and it got me thinking. Does anyone out there own a 1919? What do you think of it? How well does it shoot? Is it as fun as it looks?

Am interested in feedback--need to convince wife that I should get one.
It's not what you know that gets you in trouble, it's what you know that just ain't so!
I had a ORH 1919A4 w/ the a6 izzy kit and a badger bob repro tripod. sold it cause it is such a PITA to carry to my farm. Had to go thru the ski pole carrier. gun weighs like 44 #s.
Fun tapers off, after you 1st belt
mine never ran links well
It was fun, about broke even when I sold it (it just sold again on GB for $1400)
It would be a necessity if I was a machinist or had more metal working skill
remember, you need a gun (1100), 2 k ammo AT LEAST (260), good tripod (300), pintle (88-150) or a6 kit (170) belts and links are pretty cheap, and unlike what the fags say, you can load them by hand or w/ pliers
