Ever Taken a Bounce Back?

Talked to a guy yesterday that was hit right between the eyes, high up on the bridge of his nose at the first CAS match he ever shot. Bounceback from a 250gr rnfp .45 Colt. Just barely broke the skin, but got his attention in a hurry. He now wears larger, wing style safety glasses and had a great story![:D]

Never had that experience thank the lord! Lots of blood from a little nasty 380 FI that I had that liked to bite the web of my hand. I got my thumb in the way one day and it nailed me all the way to the bone. I sold that critter for a song![:D]

Plinking at a dump, had a friend dump his 10-22 into a old refrigerator,one round hit me in the leg,not sure where the other nine ended up.[}:)]

Sure have. A few times.
Was shooting a steel match one time, watching someone else shoot. Felt a thump on my shoulder, looked down and pulled my shirt, along with the offending piece of metal, out of my skin. Bled like a stuck pig for quite a while.

I was at an IPSC match once where they had a steel target set fairly close (about 10 yards). I caught a .45 caliber 230 grain FMJ round that came back off of the target real fast just to the left of the nuts. I dropped pretty much instantly. I ended up having a pretty huge bruise.

Not a bullet, no; have had lots of BB's from plinking in the basement hit me- one in the glasses... 'you'll shoot your eye out!"[:D]

I have been hit many times by a bullet (what was left of it) bouncing off a steel target. Never had one break skin, but that's why we wear eye protection.

I had some birdshot hit me when I shot a grouse in the middle of our driveway. Shocked the crap out of me, but I wasn't hurt.

I got a hunk of a slug in the guts from a steel plate that had craters from high power rifle fire.

Yep had 45 ACP bounce off steel plate target, and had a 22 come back from a buildup of lead in the sand bullet trap. Not counting cap fragments from a muzzle loader on the next lane. Best argument for good safety glasses there is!

almost, when I shot a cast iron doohickey with an AK. about 25 yards.

had a cheap a s s revolver as a kid shooting even cheaper 22 lr rounds. Two went off and one hit the side of the frame and came back and cut my lip. Scared the toothpicks out of me. Took forever for that cut to heal.

Never owned a cheap weapon since. Nor shot cheap rounds in a revolver.

Man, that's a lot of people taking bullets!!

What's going on here? I didn't realize that steel plates sent back so many bullets. I've been hit by splattered fragments before, but never saw somebody get hit with a big chunk. Can we stop this by adjusting the angle of the plates, or sumthin?

been hit by a 9mm in the ab. area. Just bruised.

I got my cheek cut by shrapnel off a berm once. I think I was shooting a .22 at a .44mag spinner.
