going too slow, first time ever for me.on a 2 lane very rural blacktop road that goes about 5 miles and dead ends into a lake, its very rough ,lots of holes and always deer everywhere very little traffic,I was running about 40 when I noticed a county cop right behind me,I just crusied on and everytime we hit a straight place I would ride over toward the white line in case he wanted by,he followed me all the way to the lake then stopped me,,,then proceeded to chew my * out for going to slow [:(!],I asked him to show me one speed limit sign anywhere on the entire road ,,he then informed me on any paved 2 lane road in the state of Arkansas the speed limit was 55.told me to go faster or pull off the road everytime a car got behind me,,never checked anything,no lic, insurance or anything, just gave me a 3 minute * chewing for going too slow..

I heard on the news in Florida, they were going to give ticket's to vehicles that were driving to slow. They think this will decrease road rage. And your staring to piss me off!

Screwed either way. You can get a ticket for going too slow or too fast.

speed LIMIT 55mph. limit in this context means maximum, after reading your description of what occured, sounds like the cop had nothing better to do than deek with you.

Well isn't there a law about driving for conditions. 55 is the recommended speed. But do to road conditions and possible obsticals you reduced your speed.

The road I live on is marked 55 Mph. Very Seldom except in Day light do I drive 55 Mph. See I've hit two deer on my motorcycle so far. Know what I will tell a police Officer if ever Pulled over. He can Kiss me where the sun don't shine.

If my right knee is throbing I'm doing at most 35 Mph. Its taken almost a year to get that knee back working close to right.

It was late at night on a weekend, and I was looking for drunk drivers as usual. I watched as a Harley-Davidson accelerated slowly away from me. Every time the driver shifted gears, the tail light would wobble just a little.

I caught up to the bike and pulled it over, thinking maybe the operator was intoxicated, or at the very least, inexperienced and unlicensed. Neither was the case.

The bike was a late model shovel head, but it had a foot clutch and jockey shift on it. I asked the biker why he had the bike configured in such a way. He pulled up his pant legs and showed me that he had two prosthetic legs. Said he could operate a clutch just fine with his fake foot, but with no ankle joint, he could not operate a gear shift with it, so he retro-fitted the bike as I saw it.

The wobble I saw? It was on account of he had to lift his entire leg from the hip to set his foot on the clutch, and that much of a weight shift caused the bike to wobble just a little when he worked the clutch.

BTW, he was a 'Nam vet. That's where he lost his legs.
