Good Friend Barney

15 years of being mans best friend, my father in laws dog Barney passed this morning. Yesterday, we had fathers day and he was pretty sick and not with it at all. My father in law saved him from a shelter 15 years ago and he was a great dog. He loved running outside and going and visiting with all the neighbors. I will miss him more than some of my family.

    Sorry for the loss. Take him to get a new one - quickly, although most say no but they bond quickly and get over the loss easier.

    We have two dauchund's ourselves. We have prepared for Barneys passing for a few months now, we knew he was getting old. We have talked about going and getting him a weiner dog or maybe two of them! Ours stay with him every now and then, and I bet they will be staying with him a lot this week. This is the type of man that can have anything, he used to be a skirt chaser and a big drinker, but now he just sits at the house, watchs TV, eats ice cream and hangs out with his grandsons and his grand daughters (weiner dogs.) I'm sure he will get one pretty soon. Thanks for the kind words. He is a great father in law, I hate to see him going through this.

    No other animal gets into our hearts the way a dog does. Its always very sad when they leave us.

    HI Sorry for the loss we also just lost a dog 1 week ago we had her from 2000 very good dog and we will miss her also
