I've owned a few. I just sold a AMT Lightning stainless steel rifle. It was a "Ruger 10/22 Clone"... I'm sure I'll end up with some more 10/22's in the future... Good Guns...

Oh, Almost forgot! Be carefull with the front site. My son has snapped off 2 of them on his. The long slim part that the bead is mounted to. He banged it into something once, and the second one he broke when he leaned the gun against the wall and it slid down and hit the floor...

I also have a 10/22. Great little rifle. Put a hundred rounds through it today with my son. Very accurate with my Simmons scope.

I have a 10/22. It's a pleasure to shoot, it goes to the range with me just about every time I go.

Of the 11 I have, the most special is the one I just finished
    building this last week.
Built "Specifically for" Aguila SSS (SniperSubSonic) 60gr. ammo.
    Stainless with Thumb-Hole Fajen stock.
    Power Custom trigger group.
Nikon 4.5 X 14 Buckmaster Stainless scope (For Adj. Objective)
AND, custom built 1 in 9 twist barrel for proper stabilization of the
    SSS ammo.
To top it off: A "REGISTERED" Suppressor.
Dime size groups at 100 yards and NO KEY HOLING of the SSS.
And, as Elmer Fudd would say: "VEWY-WEWY QUIET"...........

Great rifle. I've had one since 1974. I literally would not be without one. Always keep this rifle, because your father gave it to you. It will mean even more to you than it does now.

I got a 10-22 Sporter with the checkered walnut stock back in 1975, and I'm extremely pleased with it. I had it for sale about ten years ago, but I'm glad nobody came along and bought it. I guess nobody understood what "Pre-Warning Sporter" meant. Oh well, I'm not getting rid of it now. The Ruger 10-22 is the standard by which you compare other .22 auto rifles with.

My 10/22 was aquired when I married. My wife had been ignoring it for years...the stock was a mess, the black paint was peeling off the receiver, etc. Luckily the working parts were in good shape. I bought a Draganov style stock and a 50 round clip, cleaned that bad boy up and now it looks like something.

Oh, and by the way, it shoots like a dream. Those are four good numbers...
