My brain must be wired up funny ☺

I was reading a locked thread and noticed a member with the user name sfrench is a young lady. When you look at her profile that's perfectly clear, but without looking at her profile, I interpreted that as S. F. Wrench as in a mechanic from San Frisco.

For years I thought bigal was Bi Gal as in a young lady switch hitter. A quick glance at the profile makes it clear that he's BIG AL.

I've misread a bunch of them, but that's probably the worst.

Sometimes my brain takes its own direction. I wonder if this is a common malfunction. [:D]

Speaking about butchering names at first glance..

I thought JamesRK alluded to a serial-killing cannibal

Heck James, why do you think I started signing my posts?!!! [;)]

It's not just the user names though, James, and it is NOT just you. I think it was aglore who had an online business link named "canadian firearms exchange", if I remember correctly.

As an online link, though, he ran the words together with the "dotcom" after them, so it looked like "candianfirearmsexchange.com"!!!

Then, when DWS bragged about sending a Taurus Raging Bull to Allen and getting a LadySmith back from CanadianFirearmSexchange.com, I woke up my wife, laughing so loud late at night!!! [:D][:D][;)]

Big Al (I supposed you could blame it on your Navy training?! My bro-in-law was a SeaBee and, at times, his train-of-thought was definitely on a different track ! [;)][:D] )

JamesRK - "Sometimes my brain takes its own direction. I wonder if this is a common malfunction."

Figuring that either you yourself or those around you most would most likely be able to let us know how common that malfunction might be for you! [;)]

It may well have much more than folks here would even guess. [;)]

I'm most concerned regarding the typos and errors that I have written ... often times here on GB ... sometimes I have caught and corrected them before posting. Some folks have kindly let me know quickly on the side ... so that I corrected them.

I often refer to guys women, wives, girlfriends as his Lady ... caught posts were I had referred to as his Lay ... a bit embarrassing to me when it's an honest mistaken typo. [:0] [:I] [B)]

Regarding the member names, more than a few can get one to imagining. And like you stated, all are not as one might believe. [;)]

Big Al, I hope you didn't take offence at what I said, and it looks like you didn't. I was embarrassed and thought it was funny at the same time when I looked at your profile.

Did you ever ask DWS about his S&W's sex change? [:D]

And givette, I've never killed a serial in my life, but I have eaten a few. [:D]

You know, James, I was just about to ask DWS about that when someone piped up with a serious question for him about "WWII assault rifles"!!! [;)]

I figgered it would be two or three days before I could get his attention, y'know, after his assault rifle dissertation, and then someone else mentioned heroism and Jessica Lynch in the same sentence! After that, I just figgered it just wasn't meant to be, y'know! [:0][:D]

Big Al (nope, no offense taken, 'cuz none given! Heck, even I know that "punk-shoo-ay-shun" are important! Proving it by my spelin' iz anudder thang, en-tyr-lee!) [:D][;)]

Heh-heh-heh!!! Dennis, I read your quote (above) and the question that popped into my head was, "Pushing your mind towards the gutter? Or pushing your mind up out of the gutter, 'cause there ain't enough room in the gutter for both of y'all?"

Big Al (that article about mental telepathy becoming possible has me a little worried, ah reckon! [:0][;)] )
