Our oldest local TV & Radio station is running a pole concerning backround checks for privite gun sales ... please vote "NO" at http://www.wibw.com/ ... results are supposed to be released on our 10 pm edition of local News ... Please help us with a overwhelming majority "NO" vote! ... Thanks in advance for helping show our local politicans how we feel!

    Thanks to all that "voted"!The results were anounced on the 10 pm News and reported that only 15% voted Yes while 85% voted No. the results were given early in the broadcast without any fan-fare or doubts (that it couldn't be accurate). Of course this is Kansas and I beleive probably 85% (if not more) have guns in our homes ...Heck even our state licensed home daycare provider has a gun cabnet (with a glass front)in her living room which has several high-powers and shotguns in it. Both she and her husband hunt and last year she gave us some deer jerkey from a buck she had taken! Of course the cabinet is kept locked, but kids are "exposed" to firearms as well as taught not to touch the cabinet ... actually it was another plus in her favor when we concidered her for care of our daughter.
