Hello, I was just looking at some auctions and saw this one. I know the guy is new, but come on. Can't even get the caliber right and he doesn't even have his own words for the rest of the description.

    Hello, "I liked the looks of the pistol and the barrel insert was a pleasant surprise." A SURPRISE? Who here would be SURPRISED about a barrel insert in a DAN WESSON REVOLVER? Also, isn't a "pistol" supposed to be an automatic (semi or full)?

    Been awhile since I've been here.

    Actually, "pistol" is another general term for "handgun", and historically may have derived from the town of Pistola, Italy, where a lot of very early (read: archaic) "handguns" were crafted.

    Semi-auto pistols are also known as "self-loading" pistols.
