I say give up.

It was a smaller crowd.

But you know, there was no effort organized by the Republican party back in 2009 to boycott Obama either.

they also where required to go through security checkpoints yesterday

the snowflakes built a human wall denying entry to an unknown amount as well as fear in advance, civil disobedience, riots and assaults

today there was no checkpoints, and a lot brought their children to brainwash

Some say it was the weather, some say it was a security fear, Jeff says that this wasn't the reason. This year it was on a Friday. In 2009 it was on a Tuesday. The big reason for the crowd size differential was because this year so many republicans had to go to work.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

I'm just concerned that this and how many times he has been on the cover of Time, seems to be his first priority on day one.

    Republicans have jobs...

Have it on the week ends for Republicans. That is the diference in parties.

    Republicans work. Democrats do not.

Don't forget that Obama's crowd easily accessed the viewing areas.

Trumps had to go through Security Checks AFTER being vetted through a ticketing booth in order to control the expected LARGE CROWDS.

While the actual crowd attendance was visibly less...
Most viewed at a distance over television I believe.

my wife just made a good observation

while these snowflakes that are protesting today showed up in numbers of less than 1% of the country, we showed up where it counts AT THE VOTING BOOTH

there are many that are comparing today to the civil rights movement and Vietnam protest, which i find very disgraceful

What is pathetic is that Trump cares so much about this kind of superficial bs that he will set up a photo op at the CIA, in front of the memorial wall, and lie about the size of the crowd like it was the size of his pecker...

I thought the inauguration went very well, and I enjoyed Trump's speech. And Melania was gorgeous and dignified.

Who cares?? It doesn't change the outcome...Trump is still the man...to be the man, you have to beat the man, and he's the man for the next four years.

It seems that the NYT photo on the 20th showing large open white background seating areas..... was taken maybe hours earlier while folks were going thru security.

Nevertheless, Trump should drop it. Not needed while addressing the CIA and Nation.

I wish Trump would figure out how to ignore the small stuff. He also needs a filter on his mouth and Twitter rants. No matter what he says or does the media will crucify him but no need to give them so much material to help them.

Same here - I cringe every time I hear about the latest tweet. Even thoughtful tweeting is a base, self serving and infantile communication. I get that he's trying to rally his base, supposedly get out his side of whatever's been presented. But hell, enough already. Let the press guy handle such stuff.

We who voted for Trump had already spoken and were awaiting the oath to be taken and nothing more. I'd guess the majority of us would have been quite happy to dispense with the whole hoopla. I'd as soon have had Trump place his hand on the bible, be sworn in, and immediately get to work. No parties, no parades, nothing special.

This thing about attendance lacks substance. Media is using it to further a lost cause and it won't work. Most of us have no need for the trappings of royalty and quite possibly would have been elsewhere should the inauguration have been held even in our local park. It's not that we don't care, it's just that pomp and circumstance isn't part of our life.

Perhaps it might be fair to say that we conservatives generally think differently than our liberal neighbors. We don't as a rule gather in Washington wearing silly hats, destroying property, and attempt to get our way by any means possible. We certainly don't condone making public threats against government officials somehow with the expectation of no adverse consequences.

Lets face it... The folks who misbehaved in Washington and elsewhere are of a totally different mindset. They do not hold with the rule of law and they deserve to pay the price for their actions.

All I'm saying is that the number of folks in physical attendance at the inauguration is not a true reflection of much of anything. I for one had the best seat in the house right in front of the TV. Temp was a comfortable 72 degrees, no rain, restroom facilities readily available, and no crowds. I doubt I was alone in attending but not attending.

They can barely bring themselves to ever say thank you anyway, so there's no way in hell that gaping nut holster will ever seal itself.
