was waiting to hear from the VA about a pending heart catheterization, I figured it would be a week to 10 days, just got the call they want me there tomorrow for a consult and the procedure is scheduled for thursday morning. that is only a couple days longer than the local hospital wanted to do, they were going to do it yesterday or today. though I don't want another bypass surgery, I do hope they find something, with all the other tests coming back negative, I am running out of options on what can be wrong, at least I will be able to write off another blockage or collapse of one of the bypasses by thursday pm. I think I am more worried they won't find something than they will.

Cardiac catheterization (kath-uh-tur-ih-ZAY-shun) is a procedure used to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions. During cardiac catheterization, a long thin tube called a catheter is inserted in an artery or vein in your groin, neck or arm and threaded through your blood vessels to your heart.Aug 12, 2017

Had a couple done in the last 15 years. Cut your vein and insert an expensive tube. You (and the doctor) watch a TV monitor mounted above the table while the tube 'snakes' thru into the heart.

Should have asked for a digital copy. Probably better to watch an animation on YouTube.
