Ontario Machete / Knife

I bought this at the Flea Market today.
It's marked "Ontario Knife" and "US" underneath that.
It's very thick and has true knife cut to it, not just flat steel cut to look like a knife.
Does anybody know anything about this blade.
I paid $30 for it.
I forgot to mention it says "Blackie Collins" on the handle.
The blade is 12" long and 1/8" thick, 17 3/4" overall length.
