had some hog sausage in the fridge to though out and its been about a week and a half since i put it in, is it still ok, thanks?

typically if it smells, and has a slime on it, it is to late, as the saying in the industry goes "when in doubt throw it out"

....If it's heavily salted, like the breakfast sausage in the store, it may be OK, especially if sodium/potassium nitrate/nitrite was used. That stuff sits on the shelf for a couple months. Is it still pink? Or grey?

....Personally, I'd probably pitch it.

Easy way to tell. The same way USDA meat inspectors do...temp, touch, smell. If the sausage was wrapped in the original packaging, the package will 'balloon' to a larger size as the baterial organism's waste gases build up. If the sausage is not slimy (more than normal) or a different/bad smell....it is good to eat.

Easy rule of thumb for pork or beef,
Pork goes bad from the inside out May look ok or even smell ok but still be bad.
Beef goes bad from the outside in / if it starts to go bad you can trim away the bad / thats called age'n beef
