    DotCom..
I've seen a mount for a short pump-action shotgun to be mounted under an AR or something like it.

I think it was a "Defender" shotgun, 12 gauge under an AR or M16 - it's been too long though.
But I recall there's SOMETHING out there that will do the trick.

I would probably choose a mount for a semi-auto instead.. with a quick-release function - when empty.. dump it.

Do you want to mount a Glock on your shotgun?

Or a shotgun on your m16?

Or maybe you want to mount an M16-mounted Glock on your shotgun?

I do suppose this whole thing is an interesting way around the "bayonet lug" rule!.

(Can you stick a bayonet lug on your Glock?)

And speaking of questionable attachments, isn't this one (by the same seller) sort-of illegal?

Owning the stock is not an issue but attaching it to a pistol creates a short barreled rifle and thois means an ATF Form 1 registration with fingerprints, photos, a LE signoff, and the $200 National Firearms Act Tax. Many years ago Ciener offered an adaptor which would allow you to mount a Remington 870 shotgun (no butt stock or pistol grip) under the forearm of an AR-15 rifle. With an 18" barrel this was simply too long and proved unwiedy but with a registered any other weapon using a 12 or 13 inch barrel the shotgun remained at the same length as the 20" barrel of the AR-15 and did not extend much beyond the AR's muzzel. This sort of thing was more interesting than it was practcal since it added a lot of weight to the AR-15 but you did gain three or four shells of 12 gauge ammo which could be put to good use in certain situations. Since an any other weapon (AOW)is only a $5 transfer this looked like a good deal until the BATF ruled that an AOW found hanging under the AR-15 was now considered to be a short barreled shotgun (since it was being fired using the AR-15s butt stock) and this meant a $200 National Firearms Act Tax and interest quickly dropped off to near zero.

One time I thought that you could probably do the same thing using a top scope mount. You would need a double sided adapter to go between the two rail. The set up on here is too funky for me. The shotgun thing is kinda cool though.

I have an adaptor to mount a Mossberg 500 under an AR-15 type rifle, but I don't remember who the maker is ... The only reason I bought it because the idea was intruiging and in my mind maybe cool ... I was wrong. Kansas prohibits Short Barreled Shotguns so it was several inches longer than my 20" AR barrel and looked just stupid.

... Hummm, It looks so stupid I'm not sure why I admitted to owing one [:o)]

It's almost enough incentive to break the law and be civilly disobedient. Hell, the libs worship around the tree of civil disobedience. The question should be, "Why CAN'T I?" Screw AOW/NFA laws. Slap one of these bad boys on.

What's the practical application? 3-gun matches?

Just what we need, yet another toy to bolt/slide/tie/tape/screw on to an AR-15.

Just my theory, but the way it attaches doesn't look very stable.

I have no idea why ANYONE would want to mount a pistol to their rifle.

But then again, there are people that use drywall screws to attach 2x4 'wings' to the back of their 91 Honda Civics.
