I know it has been asked before many times...

...but what would be your preferred weapon load-out for battling/escaping a hoard of zombies?
I know my preferred load-out has changed:
Primary
M249 SAW with about 2000 rounds, preferably on one belt so I don't have to reload.
Secondary
P90 with about 300 rounds ready-loaded in magazines.
Sniping
M14 with a 3-12x50 scope and 320 rounds loaded in 20-round mags.
Close-range
Benelli M4 Super 90 with minimum 200 rounds of 00 buck shot.

Lets say the zombies act like they did in 'Night of the living dead" they lumber around slowly. I would take the (1st)Super 90, or the (2nd)P90
Now lets say they move like on 'Dawn of the dead' they move swift and fast. M249 without second thought.
Now if I found myself in a fortified building with enough supplies to last for a long time. I would say the M14 for fun.[}:)]
Thats a tough call. How big a hoard? Anyway, I'll take an American 180 with 15 177 round mags loaded with 22LR silver bullets.
I will also need a big silver cross on a pimp type chain anound my neck and a crown of garlic.
2000 rounds in one belt? Thats going to be mighty heavy.

Remember zombies not vampires or warewolves.
If I were far enough away, I'd use one of these:
Don't know it might be more fun to run over them with that, while someone mans the gun on top.
Why? Because you can easily reload them on the fly. No loading magazines, just stick the ammo in there between shots.
When fighting zombies, they seem to come in waves. You never know when you might come upon a warehouse full of 80 zombies. You have to be ready to throw out some lead in a hurry and be able to reload quickly.
An argument could be made for the SKS as well. Maybe a Norinco Paratrooper with one of the 20 round fixed mags that actually works.

good choices EXCEPT the shotgun!!!!!!!!!! mine would be the auto 12 fully automatic 12 gauge shotgun with a 30 round drum check out its link

SPAS with the hook with 1000 rounds half slugs half 000 Buck if they need to be shot in head with slugs got some reach with buck close up to medium range don't have to worry about aim as much SPAS semi and pump best of both world oh and maybe a box or two of those incendeary rounds to blow stuff up with
Have you ever held or shot one? Very poor shotgun choice, I would talk a Mossberg 500 over this any day. The SPAS is heavy, picky about ammo in semi auto, too many controls that have to be in the right place to load or fire. It DOES look really cool though. I have one and it is a neat toy at best. I would pick any Benelli M series, if you want semi/pump the M3 does it or I would pic a Tromix. I currently only have 10rd mags, but have a 20rd drum coming.
sidearm- glock 21
sniping- Knight's Armament SR25
shotgun- tromix
seige- Mk 19 Mod 3 Automatic Grenade Launcher
Nwcid, are you also waiting on an MD Arms 20rnd drum for the Saiga?
That is the one. I could not see spending $300 + on the other one.

What truck are you going to tote that 2000 rounds with. Either that or you're going to be a slow moving target.

We're looking to kill zombies, not a puppy killer.
