Swimming With Crocodiles

I was listening to CNN on satellite radio tonight. Anderson Cooper was down in Africa doing a story on crocodiles.
There is a South African couple down there who have developed a novel way of studying the crocs. They swim in the rivers with scuba gear and study the crocs underwater.
Sounds like a good way to die, as hundreds of people are eaten annually in Africa by these animals.
However, this nervy couple has discovered that if you are underwater the crocs don't see you as a food source. Plus they only dive with the crocs in the winter when the animals are in a more dormant stage. They still swim around and they feed, but not as much as in warm weather.
Well, Anderson was down there and he put on the scuba gear and went out into the river in the boat. The guy told Anderson to not dally on the surface; if the croc saw you splashing around on top he would kill you. You have to submerge immediately upon entering the water.
Anderson Cooper followed this couple to the bottom of the river. They saw a croc in an underwater cave. This croc was 15 feet long! Then, Anderson and the guy followed the crocodile into the cave.
I admire courage and it takes some guts to do that. You couldn't get me into that water if you held a .45 to my head.
Here is the video. It is worth suffering through the ads, this is incredible video of these animals:

Capt. Jack Sparrow.
Or Steve Irwin. "Crikey, that stingray really hurt, mate. Throw a couple more shrimp on the barby, I'm done."
Made him a deal.
I'll stay out of those African rivers and he took me off their menu.
I see them in my yard, game over for them.
Seems to have worked well for the past 60 years.
