Pretty good article , It admits its not as good as a 45acp but give reasons why it is pretty good if right ammo is used

I used to have a Heritage Rough Rider back when they first came out. They had a wood box lined in blue felt. You still had both cylinders.
When I shot the .22mag, I never can remember having felt the amount of pain I did from that damn .22mag ringing my ears.
I shot it 1 time w/o ear plugs. Once was enough to get the point.
My buddies wife wanted to shoot it(she used to shoot a .38 stub). I warned her of the sound & she blew me off. He & I stepped back and plugged our ears with our fingers. She shot the gun, dropped it, and was screaming in pain.
I've wanted to buy one of those little tiny .22mag revolvers(about the size of a C cell battery) to put in my pocket, but I remember how if felt to shoot one of those things.
My dad has long been an advocate of the 22 mag as a general purpose round.
After some experimenting of my own, I've become convinced.
It's lacking in velocity from a pistol, but plenty of people have been killed with less.
Thats not all bad-[:o)]
Loudest report of any gun I own.
if it wont penetrate a cops safety glasses, it can not kill a person.
If you're so confident of that, how about you let me shoot you with one. I'll even let you choose the gun.[}:)]
.17 Mach II and .22 LR, up to a .50 BMG and a .50/140.
Have yet to run across one I would want to get shot by.[^]

so you approve of the 22mag based on this?
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
A Dr. that I know told me he has seen a lot Fatal 22 shootings go thru the ER.The bullet will zig zag inside. How fast a 22 will stop them will depend on where you hit them.
Yes, that is right.

Yes, you are correct.
Better than nothing.

Not my first choice,but yes, I agree.[^][^]
Have it in a naa mini revolver, has decent power, The gun is very loud though!
If you are being robbed by a cop, don't shoot him in the glasses.
I'm not really sure why, but it seems that others think it would be a bad idea.
The trouble comes when someone wants you to change mags during your stage, and you have 15-20 rounds left.
I would use it if not one thing, the noise.

If you shoot it at meat, you don't hear the shot and don't feel the recoil.
Gunny's rule #1 in a gun fight, have a gun.
