Forget about being great at what you do, or a whiz with numbers, you will never build your business if you don't return calls or show up when you say you'll be there.

I had an appointment with a guy at 2pm at my house, and adjusted my day around him. At 1:50 he calls to say he won't be here till 2:45. It's now 3:15 and he's still not here.

The minute I realize that you think my time is unimportant, is the last time I use you.

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! If you don't have respect for me as a person, or as a customer, or respect for my time, then I don't want you to work for me.

There are too many OTHER people out there I can use...I don't need YOU to waste my time.

I completely agree with you, Wyatt!

April last year (2011) we had a hail storm come through damaged the roof, insurance said get it fixed, send us the bill. Well words to that effect.

At the time I was doing a lot of traveling, wife handled it. She called some roofing companies. Most showed up and gave an estimate, she went with the one she thought would do a good job, they did.

One showed up weeks after the job was finished to give an estimate and got irate with the wife that she didn't call him back and tell him someone else had the job. Was at least 6 weeks after she had originally called him.

Guess being a couple of hours late isn't too bad.
