Recently, that old feeling of hauling * for parts unknown has come over me (hits me every few months[V]).
Just for kicks, what on this list would you take? Essentials (in my opinion, yours may differ) are marked with a "*".
Dodge Dakota*
Harley Sportster*
mountain bike*
2 medium-size rollaways full of hand tools* (just the essential tools, I guess)
MIG welder
Oxyacetylene torch
angle grinder
bench grinder
vise with trailer-hitch mount
sawzall
power drill
cordless drill
hundreds of books* (some of 'em)
hundreds of CDs*
misc. stuff (odds 'n' sods)
crate of take-off cycle parts
engine stand
chain hoist
Snap-On battery charger/jumpstarter
parts stash (anything and everything from take-off parts to a really cool 10-gallon stainless steel tank that I'm eventually going to do something with)
antique watchmaker's workbench (only piece of furniture I own)
banjo (learning to play)
guitar (used to be really good)
clothes & personal basics*
Ruger Blackhawk .357*
Winchester .357 carbine*
.22 rifle with scope*
M44
Ruger .22 single six
High Standard .22 Sentinel*
Remington 870, 18" bbl
sawed-off (legal) .410 single-shot
Star .45 Firestar*
NAA .22 Magnum
NEF .17 HMR (as yet unfired)
.45 muzzleloading pistol
ammo and gun accys*
stereo system (CD changer, dual cassette deck, 2-speed turntable, receiver, good quality)
circa 1997 laptop (has all my writing on it)*
a few bottles of good booze*
camping gear*
Fishing gear* (just the essentials, surf rod, casting rod, 2 freshwater rods and tackle)
inflatable boat (eight-foot Sevylor Fish Hunter, unused)
astronomical telescope with tripod (it's about 5 feet long)
old school/Boy Scout stuff
a few boxes of my Dad's stuff
Chrome don't get you home.

Lil' Stinker's Opinion
It doesn't take up much room. Surely it can fit somewhere. Maybe in a rollaway tool case.
and my wife, if she promises not to hassle me about my driving..
