Friday I was cleaning up in the shop when I began to cough.Coughed so hard I passed out and came to layin on the ground .Hit my head ,blood everywhere and shoulder and back and chest hurting like hades.Cleaned up and decided I would live .Shoulder and chest got worse with time instead of better. Had wife carry me to hospital er last nite Got there at about 9:30 and did not leave until after 6 this morning. Nothing broken but plenty bent and bruised .A big shot of morphine barely touched the pain Gonna be a long next few weeks On top of this I have not had a cigarette in over 48 hours Coughing feels like someone stabbing me with a knife Thank you lord for painpills!

When I bruised my ribs back in October... It took near on three months plus to get rid of the pain.
Sleeping was rough because I couldn't sleep but in one position.
Here's hoping you heal up quicker than I did... [;)]
Just don't hang around with anyone who tells funny jokes[}:)]
I'll agree with THAT... Along with breathing... Laughing hurt like hell !!!
I had to stay off the forums for a while...
The first was over twenty years ago and you wouldn't believe me if I told ya how it happened. The visible bruise ran the gamete from black and blue to green, red and purple and was an oblong band that ran from my sternum half way around to my spine. Had four ribs separated with three of those separated from my sternum.
The second I had fallen at work and the main reason I went to the ER was concern of having bruised my heart. Doc looked at me like I'd morphed into a space alien when I told her it was gonna hurt no matter where I was at so I game to go back to work.
