Crockpot Cube Steak & Gravy
So tender you can cut with a fork
Serves:
6
Cook Time:
8 Hr
Cooking Method:
Slow-Cooker/Crock Pot
Ingredients
1-cube steak, family pack (includes about six)
2 cans-cream of mushroom soup (10.75 oz)
1 pkg.onion soup mix, dry in envelope
3/4 c water
salt & pepper to taste
Directions
1-Place cube steaks in a crockpot.
2-Stir all other ingredients together and pour over meat. Cover and cook on low all day.
3-Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
(We had creamed taters and peas as side dishes)

It just makes braised meats,,,,,,better..[:D]
Only change I would DEFINITELY make is.I would lightly flour,season and BROWN the C-Steak first.[:p][:p]

That would make the cube steak tougher.

no it will still cut with a fork, if not fall apart, that is how I allways do it, instead of the mushroom soup, I just use beef broth and a can of gravy, at the end of the day just add some powdered gravy or a little flour to thicken the broth and your done.
I cube all my deermeat from head to toe and this is how we use it year round......
It turned out pretty good.
We had the leftovers today. The gravy was even better the second day.
