Saw this Peacock at Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary this after noon spreading his feathers. They are a colorful bird. Noah's Ark in Locust Grove, GA takes in abused, sick or illegal pets that have been confiscated.

Funny how in nature the males are more showy than the females.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

There are 2 peacocks about 5 miles from my house. They are always in the same neighborhood. Maybe they are someone's pets? They are huge when in flight.

They make good watch dogs. Aside from making a racket that could wake the dead, if they think you're in their territory they will kick your * bad enough for it to stay kicked.

About 15 years ago Going down Hwy 58 on my Motorcycle. I get just about to Pleasant Hill. See and object in the road ahead thought maybe turkey. When all of a sudden it fanned out all them feathers. Woke me right up. Not sure where that bird came from. Saw it for about a week every Morning then it was gone.

There's a whole ton of them on a golf course I play at in Central Wisconsin. It's pretty funny watching them try to avoid hit golf balls.

Neighbor lost theirs a few years back. I found the remains of what was left of two of them on my property after the coyotes had supper.
