Downloading Ubuntu right now.
Going to install it on my old Dell Latitude CPi A to see how it works.
If I like it I will try it on my desktop next.

Has anyone one of you tried it?

It works fine, but it installs files that eliminate any possibility of ever undoing it, unless you make a CD to run it from. I'd recommend you do that before you make your machine "un-Windowable" forever.

I made that mistake, found that I couldn't run Quicken in Ubuntu and that all the finance programs available for ubuntu are crap. I had to buy a whole new desktop because Ubuntu could not be uninstalled.

The Dell CPi A I have an extra drive for.
The Desktop I have an extra drive for. So I should be okay[:D]
