It wasn't any ordinary PBR mission. I have an old buddy who was a gunner on a PBR in the brown water Navy. He's told me it was surprisingly realistic, but there was always more than one SF guy and usually more than one boat. His unit used to run LRRP's up the rivers. Used to say he didn't know a whole lot of the early SEALs, "...but those 'Lurp' dudes were really crazy!"
LRRP Long Range Reconnaissance Patrols were guys that went way deep behind the lines (whatever they were in an unconventional war). Definitely some tough guys. [:)]
