Any one have any reply or comment on the Romanian trainer rifles in .22 cal? Bought one recently, but haven't yet gotten out to shoot it. I was able to pick up a few extra magazines for it.

Excellent design, decently put together. Worth 80 bucks i paid for mine. I also have a few WWII .22 LR training rifles German and American. These Romanian guns are simalr..heavy barrel, strong, tight-locking action, good open sights. They are usually good for shooting an inch at 50 yeards, sometimes better.

I refinished the stock on mine and it is a very accurate little rifle. Mine has a stepped barrel with a grooved receiver. I had a hard time finding mounts for it, but I finally found a set of rings with the claw type base made by Kwiksite and it mounted solid. Mine will shoot 1 1/2 inches @ 100 yds from a sandbag. The gunsmith told me the groove on the receiver is a tad smaller in width than most American guns, but the Kwiksite rings worked fine. Good luck.
