snowing hard.

Suppose to get 5 to 8 inches this afternoon. Gotta get my feral cats in the heated garage, but they want to stay in the snow. Crazy cats. Gonna try coyote hunting later today. Got some snow camo, so I am ready for any conditions. Got the plow on the quad and coffee in the pot right now. How is it down south guys?????? Did you get some of this snow????? Oakie

    Woke up to about 6" this AM. Woke up at 4 AM, could not sleep. About 0 degrees out. Windy, more snow coming down.

    This is at about 4k feet, in the extreme NE tip of TN up in the Mtns. (Near Boone, NC.)

    some rain 67Degrees right now which is suppose to be our high for the day. The low is suppose to be 37 tonight I may have to break out a jacket tonight

    Ken, I know right where you are at. My dad was from Boone, NC. Mom is from Miami Florida. My dad was going to move us back to Boone, but mom said it was no place to raise kids[V] I wish we would have moved, as I would have liked growing up in the mountains better, then Joisy.[;)]

    That's pretty funny. Because my Mom is from here, my Dad was from Miami. They met on "Spring break." My Dad was a "surfing instructor.". LOL!!

    At dawn, it was 2?F here in Ogden with a dewpoint of -8?F. Good thing clouds moved in overnight or it would have gotten really cold.

    That monster California storm will slide east tonight and bring us solid precip through Tuesday. Good news for our summer water supply. The bad news is that it will warm up to the mid 30s. That means mixed rain and snow, freezing rain, icy roads and general power outages due to falling limbs. Nasty stuff.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

    About 6" of lake effect snow yesterday and another 1 or 2 overnight here in Michigan.
    About 7 degrees when got up, so no trapshooting for me today!

    I have to replace that Christmas lights in one of my feral cat houses today, carpeted igloo cooler, with a hole in one end.

    This morning in Boise at 3 AM, my outside temp was -18 degrees.

    We have a foot of snow on the ground, and expecting another 6" later today and tomorrow.

    8 -10 inches in the part of NC i am in , still snowing , started

    around 9 pm last night,,,,, 7 degrees tonight
    , 9 sunday night

    highs in 2os till early next week

    We got 6" in SW VA, its about 25 with sun right now. I went out in my Tahoe and played in it a bit at 0730. Had to test out the Discoverer AT3s!

    Hey Oakie just north of you in Ocean County @ the shore by Toms River we have 6" down and its still coming. A Nor easter and we could see another few inches overnight...

    On average, we get about 15" to 2' of snow over the course of a winter. Up at the cabin about four hours away, we average 4'to 6' a season. About three years ago, we got 6' of snow in a four week period. That was very unusual.

    I bought three plastic containers from Walmart and made houses out of them. I put cat beds in each one. When the temps get real low like this weekend, I put them in the garage, with the heat set on 55. I put a couch in there for them. They hate it and sit and meow all night. The vet said to leave them out, as they are use to it, but it breaks my heart to do so. I just love all animals and maybe I am over thinking it. Oak

    We have around 8 inches of fresh snow today and more on the way tonight.
    I bought a used snow blower and I'm not really looking forward to using it tomorrow.
    I may resell it and buy a tractor with a blade that I should have bought last week.
    I had about 14 stray cats around here and then one day I saw a yote in the back yard.
    I'm down to 1 stray cat.
    A bag of food lasts a lot longer than it use to.
