I am.......just bought another 2k rounds of 7.62x39. I think this stuff is going to get costly and scarce before it is all over.

I believe you could apply this to all forms of ammunition.

I have all the Russian surplus ammo I need. My primary hunting rifle is a Russian rifle. That hunting ammo I buy sparingly.

Thats great....just encourage more hoarding, only this time for a caliber that can still be had with relative ease!

I've got lots of the Mosin Nagant ammo, love those spam cans. 147 grain copper-washed, it is some fine ammo.
Commies know how to make guns and ammo.

There was plenty of Wolf and Tula at Walmart late today. Full shelves, even some bulk boxes. Looked to be several calibers, but took no notes on it. I don't buy that stuff.

Are you familiar with true Keynesian economics? What Mercury is doing is Keynesian economic policy on a small scale. By buying when there is a 'surplus' in the form of low prices, he will help stabilize prices down the road when the prices increase. In the meantime he's sacrificing liquidity for a tangible asset that will gain value and allowing the ammo seller to reinvest in more ammo and put food on his table. Everybody wins. Good on you Mercury!

If more people had hoarded beforehand .22 before the shortage prices wouldn't have shot up like they did because there would be a greater supply which would drive down prices. That's kind of how our government interprets Keynesian economics, spend during a shortage but don't bother to save during a surplus. What could go wrong? [:)]

Hehehe......a bit long winded, but yes, exactly!

I paid 24.5 cents per round for the Wolf I just bought. Including shipping.

No Russian guns, no need for Russian ammo.
