There is no shortage of primers out this way, are other parts of the country seeing a huge shortage to justify this kind of pricing?

I haven't seen small pistol/rifle primers on a shelf here since December. Large pistol is also nonexistent, large rifle has been hit or miss.

With that said, Wideners had primers on Thursday. [:D][}:)]

That's crazy, we have tons of primers here and while they are expensive $39 per 1000 that is far better than scalper prices!!!!

I'm so glad that I don't suffer from money lust like some folks do. I much prefer to EARN my money by working than becoming a scalper!!!

I won't do that. There is a lot of folks in the area that reload and if I buy to resell then I am becoming a scalper plus taking from the locals who need them. Also shipping primers is not like shipping loaded ammo and I won't risk one bit of my freedom to ship primers.

UPS wont let me ship them without Hazmat license they tell me. If I could I would start them at a 1.00 and see what goes down..

I would be happy to do that for folks, but the darn Hazmat shipping makes it not worthwhile for the buyer.

+1, The shelves at the local Scheel's were fully stocked with rifle primers the last time I was there. Pistol primers were pretty-well gone through though.

Not to change the subject, but they also had a Ruger SR-45 in the display case for $449.99 that I wish I would have bought then and there. I went home and slept on it...was gone when I went back to buy it the next day. [:(]

I got some from Wideners (should be on UPS for delivery right now) for a decent price but when I stopped in my local store last night they had a few but wanted $5.50 per hundred for large pistol and no powder to be found.
