just bought a AMT AutoMag 22 magnum. made in Irwindale
went out and tried 3 different brands of ammo
Winchester super x HP, federal 22 mag, & CCI.
Win. awsome,hot , hot, hot[8][;)]worked and ejected every time,thumbs up[^]^^^^^
federal fed and worked ok, but no power like the Win.[V]no jambs[:)]
CCI SUXED[xx(]could not get it to fire, firing pin would not even strike the rim.WTH[:0]
for those of you with a automag II stick with Winchester ammo,
& a clean gun and do not run it dry a little gun oil on the rails
will do it good (Remington)RemOil spray.

I thought RemOil was taboo and that the only reason it exists is because Remington recommends it in their owners manuals. Heck, I nearly got thrown out of a gun store for asking for some... And it was right there on the shelf. Doesn't it leave Teflon buildup all over the place?
Winchester works well, ( not dynapoint!!)
Federal,
Fiocchi,
Even some PMC bulk stuff I bought works well in my Automag.
What it likes best though is Remington, ( I think it is Supreme? )
Mine HATES CCI!
