Damn roofers

They jarred the house so bad dropping bundles on the roof that it knocked my 55yo Seth Thomas Westminster clock off the mantle. Knocked pieces of wood off the cabinet and damaged the movement (will not run).
Contacted the roofing company and was told they would have someone pick it to get possible repairs.

I gave the clock to my parents (both deceased)for Christmas when I was 16.

WOW-If the walls shook to that extent there maybe a structural problem? Just saying.

Terrible and heart breaking on the clock but like already said, could be worse problems ahead.

That's too bad, there is no reason to drop the bundles that hard. Very unprofessional.

The last thing I would do would be to give them the clock to get possible repairs!

They are roofers - not clock repairmen.

You take it to the clock repairman and get an estimate - or most likely a bill - for them to pay.

I knocked a bunch of pictures off of our walls, when I was installing the siding on our house. Not as much to do with structural issues as just constant pounding (or dropping). Eventually the vibration caused stuff to drop.
