Oil money is not forever, a desert without oil money is a desert. What are folks gonna do with miles of sand and no oil money?

    Just two years ago Saudi Arabia announced a $109 Billion plan to create their own solar power industry. That being the seed from which they would grow an electric power export business. So when the oil runs low they will have built massive electrical power generation and transmission infrastructure connecting in all land directions. Using the Sun's energy pouring down on their miserable baking sands to maintain the wealth flowing in post-oil times.

    These first couple of years progress have been a joke, but there's 18 years to go on the 20 year initial plan. The end goal is a century away.

    Don't know if they'll succeed. The long term thinking is at least way ahead of most countries.
