I'm not sure why, but I took this picture the other day and really liked it. I was trying to show a friend that a 14 gun safe won't fit 14 scoped rifles. I have 9 in there, 7 with scopes. That is maxxed out.

couple Amish automatics I see [:D] ( what I have been told the nick name for the pump rifles ) I have 760 30-06 [:I]
when I open my safe it looks like a can of sardines [B)][B)] all the long guns have the treated "socks" on them to help prevent scuff and nicks , I do not say much as the wife would be replying the safes are OK maybe you need to stop buying guns in place of wanting another safe
Dang AR rifle builds did a lot of my space in [^][:0][:0]
Ditch is correct. If things are crowded get some socks on them.
That's not a bad idea on the socks. At least on the wood stocks.
Jon
agree I guess they use old single shot rifles and shotguns with iron sights to figure out the number of guns it will hold ( like the cars MPG yours may vary line )

Far left is a 7600 .243. That's the wife's deer rifle. The middle pump is my customized 760 .270. It has a 16.5" barrel and open sights. The far right pump is my 760 BDL, also a .270.

guess you didnt get the memo [:D]

Crap! [:0]
The rods are only plastic. If that hurts the bore, you have bigger problems.
I did forget to take one out of my AR and open and closed the action though...One less rod now.
Jon
How are the pistols hung? That doesn't sound right, how are they attached to the safe
Hehe, that didn't sound good.
The rods have 2 bends in them....One slides over the shelf and the other comes back to allow insertion of the muzzle.
Jon
Never was convinced that a rifle in a safe needed a sling, scope or bipod....
guess you didnt get the memo [:D]

I just read the other thread also. That being said, I want some of those pistol hangers like what Jon has.
I find I can cram more long guns in a safe if I put some barrel up and some barrel down. Got a 35 long gun safe + shelves an currently still room to spare.

The pistol hangers are metal with a plastic/rubber outer coating. They are very well made. I believe I bought them from "Unique Tech".....?
