It seems the most common thing is: The worse thing that could ever happen to these couples is they would not win king and queen of the prom.
I would like to see movies of ordinary people that good things happen to.
No not ugly people like me, but ordinary people. People that work for a living.
Most of these shows are about beautiful high paid executives, male or female, that meets their perfect match due to Christmas magic.
I don't know any people that look like models of Vogue Magazine. I hope I spelled that right.
I want to see happiness for ordinary people, ya know.

I have always thought the movies were that way on purpose . because most people dream of such , same with fairy tails
no one wants to pay or see a movie about Joe average ( or them self's ) ) struggling to keep his / her family head above water day in day out same old same old
and able to make the house payment [:D]

It is a clear violation of Christmas Season Protocol.

No Christmas stuff until after Thanksgiving. Period.

We turn on Christmas music on the drive home from Mom's after Thanksgiving dinner. It drives my son nuts. [:D]

The Christmas season officially begins for us when we've watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story and I've heard Harry Simeone Chorale's Little Drummer Boy!

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!

I lost my VHS copy of "An American Christmas Carol" a few years ago, due to old age the tape broke.

I now just have to live with my wife's musical version with Albert Finney.

She also has to watch "One Magic Christmas" every year and I find Mary Steenbergen makes me depressed.

I agree that it is still too early to start getting into the Christmas holidays and prefer after Thanksgiving.
