    We've had one for over 8 years, it provides me with a great nights sleep. Yes, it has an air bladder, it's adjustable. I sleep @ a 80+, firm setting. My Bride around 55-60.
    I do spend some nights on the old fashioned mattress in the spare room, if I have an early appt. (just so I don't wake anyone up). My back is usually out of wack after sleeping on the conventional mattress.

    Check around, they are pricey, you may find a 'discount coupon; online. Worth it? OH YEAH!

    Look into waterbeds.

    I went to one of those sleep number bed retailers and laid down on the pressure sensor that they had to show me how it would distribute my weight evenly. I'm a side to front sleeper and no matter how soft they went, it still showed a lot of pressure on my hip.

    I've had a wave-less waterbed for over 20 years and you can't find a more comfortable sleeping surface. It's 98% wave-less, so I can't even tell when my wife gets into or out of the bed and it truly distributes your weight evenly so there are no pressure points. And another side benefit is, no bed mites or allergies since there isn't any padding for it to absorb skin particles or sweat. Don't dismiss the idea of a waterbed without trying a wave-less waterbed.

    I started to write a longer "Why I love my waterbed", but decided to keep it short.

    I have the good ole fashion kind. I love the waves, reminds me of sleeping on the boat. The waveless might be better if you have a partner. My girlfriend was on the heavier side and when she got into the bed (rather clumsily), it would launch me 2 feet in the air, [:D]

    Kimi, do check your floor structure to make sure it can hold the weight. I have a concrete slab, so I'm OK. If you have a sagging foundation or floors, might not be for you. Figure 1 ton of weight.

    We bought our first Sleep number bed about ten years ago. Got one that was on sale - about a mid-range one. Loved it so much we moved that one to the guest room and bought a higher-end Sleep Number. Over the years, we had one air chamber develop a leak while we had the bed disassembled to do remodeling. They sent us a prepaid shipping container for the old chamber along with a new one, no questions asked.

    Aside from that, the only problem we have with Sleep Number beds is that guests who visit don't want to leave.

    You don't have to guess how firm or soft you want your bed. You just change it a bit at a time until you sleep like a baby. Once in a while, it pays to bump it 10 points or so either way for a night or two. The change is like getting a whole new bed. You don't feel your partner roll over or get up. It isn't hot like a foam mattress.

    Finally, the whole thing weighs only about 40 pounds and it packs up into a few small bundles. Great if you move or just want to paint the room.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

    there is a learning curve on what your number is, can be frustrating at first we both have decided on 45 {only goes in 5's}

    i have a king c2 their basic model, with the added cooling gel, we tried it without the gel, i dont think we would be happy without it, if you do sleep in one spot it can reflect your body heat but no where even close to memory foam we wasted a few hundred on before

    kimi if you decide to get one message me i can send you a referral coupon for up to 20 percent off
