As we were being seated, the Manager read my Wifes shirt that said, "Ban Idiots not Guns", came over and said, "If your carrying, you get 10% off of your meals"!

    Had one near Capitol Mall. They closed it and opened another Mexican restaurant.

    Two Mexican slop houses opened and closed here within three months. Funny thing, a gal that worked at the one opened the longest (2 months) said that they had a total of 27 customers the entire time it was open..

    Opened the first one 1995 in Mt. Shasta, Ca, and now well over 80 locations and growing. Founders are conservative and Pro 2A, live right in the heart of the Jefferson State! Great service, great food, good prices, and usually more food than you can eat.
    The menus are on reprints of local newspapers from the 50's/60's.

    When I used to go to the Big Reno Show, I always ate at the two Black Bear Diners there. They have one now in Salt Lake City but it's more than an hour's drive from here.

    Luckily, they are putting the finishing touches on one just a mile from my house! I'll be going there. Often. Great food, large servings, and always good service. BBD is one of the few places that serves a good bowl of oatmeal. I seldom order it in restaurants, but theirs is quite good.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

    They have at least one in Boise.

    It is less than 3 blocks from me, but I have never ate there.

    You better be pro 2nd in Idaho, or you will not be in business long.

    We have one in Upstate NY in the Adirondack Mountains off Exit 26 I87 Northway in the town of Pottersville.

    We have a little Mom and Pop diner up the road that is hard to beat. And they close on sunday and gave everyone off from Christmas Eve until today. We have Saturday brunch there at least once a month...

    Yep, good food. Had to fight my way thru cigarette smoke. Ate their many,many times. My old hunting grounds around Chestertown,Adirondack,Schroon Lake,Bryant Lake,The Hague. Brings back a lot of memories.
