Is there a crossbow pistol that would kill a racoon in the back yard?

There is a deadly easy way google fly bait to kill raccoons. But it will kill any other critters too including dogs if that presents a problem.

I have one similar. It will kill pretty much anything up to large dog. I prefer my gamo 22 air rifle though. More range and better accuracy.

A crossbow pistol will kill a raccoon. But only after the fired bolt bounces off and you beat the animal to death with the crossbow.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Raccoons are pretty tough. Best to get a real crossbow. Or havahart trap with peanut butter and release...

I believe you're referring to Golden Malrin.
I've never used it, but I'm told it's unbelievable. Like 10-12 feet and dead.

I killed a * that ate all my chickens with a nail gun. I posted about it before. Cops wouldn't let me shoot it with a gun or bow, so I got out my cordless nail gun and made a pin cushion out of his *. They went right through him. Neighbor three doors down found him. He had over thirty nails in him and numerous holes.

I have to deal with * (RAcoons)around where cats and dogs also roam and I've found that easiest way is too get a large Havahart trap and bait it with vegetables, like scraps of tomatoes cantaloupe, watermelon, potato peeling, cabbage, stuff that cats and dogs don't really like to enter the trap to eat and the trap is working at night when I'm asleep. Place few pieces outside the trap and I set the trap on a piece of plywood so as the * don't make a big mess digging dirt, mud and grass into the trap once he's inside trapped.

I took some time also and added 1/8 inch paneling to the sides so as the animal could not reach thru the sides from the outside and trip the trap and to help guide it inside for the food.
Works great. RAcoons usually have some buddies, so takes some time to get them thinned out.

Borrowed this one from a GB member:

I have had a raccoon or two in the yard, and in the garage, but ONLY when I had food setting out for cats. I wasn't going to begrudge the * for cadging a free meal, but after the outdoor cats went away, we stopped leaving food out, and stopped seeing *.

"...a * that ate all my chickens with a nail gun."

Now there's an image. The damn critters are clever enough to use a knife and fork, I know. But eating with a nail gun is amazing. And probably messy. No wonder you wanted to be rid of it.

I was of the same opinion. But the linked crossbow pistol is 80 lbs!
That surely ought to do it.

Oh, and just because you CAN release it, doesn't mean you have to. A lot of critters have been dispatched while in a havaheart. The having a heart part being that you don't poison a pet
