Family Problems

My cousin killed himself today. He has had back problems for about 10 years and he was hurting all the time. He tried to kill himself last month but his son called 911 and they saved him. He took pain pills last time today he just shot himself. I understand about being miserable in pain but i just hate it for his family.

Don't know what to say Dave. He was set on doing it and he finally succeeded. Prayers asked for all involved to heal from this.

Back pain can be a *. I have been living with ruptured discs since 1977. There are times that you feel that dieing is a step in the right direction and the addition of pain meds don't help. I have had 2 members of my family commit suicide and know the pain and emptiness it leaves behind.

Just remember he wasn't in his right mind when he did this and GOD forgives those that aren't. Remember the good times you had with him and above all, be there for his kids and the rest of the family. Let them know you love them and there was nothing they could do to prevent it.

My condolences.

My brother ended his life in my living room three years ago. Pain killer overdose while I was out on a service call. He had been suffering from diabetes and was in constant pain from the nerve damage that it caused. He came for a "visit" and I'm sure he planned it so his children wouldn't be the ones to discover his death. It is very hard on the family. I hope your cousin is at peace.
